I think my friend is our lucky omen, on the 3 times he has been to games this season in Birmingham City, Burton Albion and Crawley Town we have won them all!After the FA cup win on Saturday which I unfortunatelycouldntattend I was told wedidntplay to good which I was worried about. Robins also brought in William Edjenguele, James Bailey and Cody McDonald.The game started out very even but the first real chance was the goal as McGoldrick ran on to a through ball and pa sed it back to John Fleck who shot just inside of the penalty area fired through the Crawley defence and Paul Jones should of done better with the save but it went under him into the bottom right corner on 9 mins. Crawley then dominated the play as Billy Clarke shot was pared away by Joe Murphy. David Hunt and Nicky Adams came close as Hunt lashed a volley just wide and Adams brought out a great save at the far post from Murphy, who seemed to of saved it with his chest. The home team came Josh Jooris Kids Jersey up next as David McGoldrick and Cody McDonald went up for the same header with it coming off McGoldrick I think who headed wide. Following this the home side looked nervy and they let Crawley keep hold of po se sion which frustrated the home fans. Just over the hour mark Coventry regained their two goal lead as Jordan Clarke played the ball to McGoldrick who curled a cla sy shot into the top corner of the goal with Jones beaten to send Coventry fans and the coaching staff wild with excitement. The away side who I expected much more from really disappointed me tried to cut the deficit through Clarke again but his shot fired acro s goal and wide. Richard Wood then poked a shot out for a corner which was certain to be a Clarke goal. That was it for the visitors as they didnt take their chances in front of goal.
